How do I get better, faster?

Come to open studio hours as much as your schedule allows. The more practice the better!

I’ve never done pottery. Will I succeed right away?

Emily (co owner) suggests keeping your expectations low for anything related to the wheel if it is your first time. There is a learning curve and it is easy to get frustrated.

What happens if I miss a class?

If you cannot attend one of your classes, reach out to your teacher to see if they are willing/able to help you during an open studio time. If they cannot, we suggest coming to open studio and asking Griffin for help if you miss a class.

What can I expect to learn each week?

Wheel Week One: Centering & Pulling Walls
Wheel Week Two: Centering, Pulling Walls, Shaping
Wheel Week Three: Centering, Pulling Walls, Shaping
Wheel Week Four: Trimming, More throwing practice
Wheel Week Five: Trimming, More throwing practice
Wheel Week Six: Glazing*

*Wheel Week Six: No new creations, trimming, intro to glazing
(to make weeks 4 and 5 have the most impact, plan to make more things during open studio)

I couldn’t make it to 2 classes, can I get a refund?

No, we do not offer refunds for missed classes. We suggest making sure you can attend all classes before you sign up.
